After two weeks of the writing, sample tissue skins were collected from all of those fifty people and were left with a little scar in their hand. The scientist had found that after using medicine, seventy two percent of the people who expressed their painful experience in their writing were completely cured within eleven days. Comparatively more time was needed to cure the wound of other people and merely forty two percent of them were finally completely cured. Broadbent had arrived at this decision by this experiment that physical injury can be healed rapidly through writing of individual distress and grief.

Why does it occur? According to Broadbent if one express mental distress through writing then the pressure and influence of stress hormone automatically diminish as a result medicine acts instantaneously. Scientists from the other parts of the world have also agreed with Dr Broadbent. Unquestionably there is a relationship of mental stress with the diminishing of physical injury so as soon as the mental stress diminishes, neurotransmitter system of the body is affected as well, that is tremendously supportive to cure the wound.
